Caslon Font Installation Instructions
The font that TXMN uses for its logo is Caslon Open Face (this link is to a ZIP file containing the font). We should be using this font where possible on all documents, flyers, etc. that we produce for the chapter. TXMN web site says if you can’t use this font, Times New Roman or Palatino Linotype are acceptable alternates.
Below are instructions below on how to install the font on your PC – if you want Mac directions or need more info, go to http://www.searchfreefonts.com/articles/how-to-install-fonts.htm. Once installed, the font will be among the normal list of choices (Arial, Calibri, etc.) on your computer.
How to install fonts?
Download and unpack the zip file, saving the font zip file somewhere on your hard drive. (desktop, temporarily.)
Unpack the font file by double clicking it or right clicking.
Recent versions of Windows can unpack zip file archives and self-extracting zip files when you right click on the file, and select “Extract All”. Then click Next, select the place you want to extract files, click Next and click Finish.
Otherwise, use software such as WinRAR, WinZip, or any other utility to unpack these files. To extract zip file right click or double click on the file, then click Extract and select the place where you want to extract the font files.
