We are excited that you are interested in becoming a Master Naturalist through the Blackland Prairie Chapter! The 2017 Class is February 8th through May 3rd.
In order to be considered there is a "Texas Parks and Wildlife Two-Step" process.
1. Go to the application packet via the link posted below. Download and print, complete and mail to the AgriLife address included in the information. Include payment. The $150 fee will not be processed until you are accepted.
2. Follow the State Application Information link and follow the directions. This is an extremely important step because it begins the required Criminal Background Check (CBC) process and puts you into the database you will use throughout your life as a Master Naturalist. Sorry, but any CBC you may have through another organization or entity is not acceptable. The process ensures your privacy as well since no one in the local organization will be privy to personal information other than "pass/fail". Below the state link is a primer as to the process of filling out online. Yes, some of the information required is repetitive to the hard copy application. It is a way of ensuring that you will have accurate information in the Texas Parks and Wildlife and AgriLife databases.
